Want more customers? Why not allow customers to dropship with you.

This extension makes it easy for you to run a dropship store along side your regular store. Customers in the 'Dropship' group can place orders and specify a delivery address for THEIR CUSTOMER and you ship the product. Their customer will not know it is you that is shipping the products.

At checkout, your dropship customers can specify a temporary shipping address - during checkout they select 'I want to use a new address' but instead of the address being saved in their address book, the shipping address is only saved with the order. This prevents dropshipping customers ending up with an enourmous address book that would require constant management. However, there is a 'Save this Address' checkbox for if they want to save the address.

I have now included an order total module that you can use to charge a 'Dropship Fee', one domestic fee and one international fee based on shipping address.

An optional vQmod is provided to make the address persistent for the current order. If the customer leaves the checkout (to add more products etc) then the 'Add New Address' fields will be re-populated to save them re-entering the address (this is included by default in the OC3.x version)

Another optional vQmod is provided that allows adding of email address and telephone number to the 'Add New Address' in the checkout (this is included by default in the OC3.x version).

This mod also highlights orders that are 'Dropship' orders and also provides a new 'Invoice' that can be used as a packing slip. There is also a 'File Copy' invoice to use for your records which is in the style of a standard invoice showing the prices etc.

How this Works:
Create a new customer group called 'Dropship'

Assign dropshipping customers to the new 'Dropship' group.

Everything else is transparent - it works off the name 'Dropship'

1.5 - 2.3.x : Delivered as a vQmod and 2 additional template files. No files are overwritten but you will need vqmod installed to use this.
3.x : Delivered as an OCMOD (use the extension installer) and Events.

NOTE: I can't vouch for this working if you have other checkout mods installed but I'll obviously help where I can. This will only work on the Default Opencart Checkout. For other checkouts a redirect can be put in so that normal customers go though your one page and dropsipping customers can be directed through the default checkout.
