Stop wasting your time assigning related products - let this extension do it for you!

This extension will automatically display category related products on your products pages without having to add them in the admin.


  • When a product is accessed from the category tree, the related products will be fetched from the same category;
  • When no category path available (when product accessed from a module), the related products will be fetched from all categories the product is in;
  • Where your product needs specific related products, you can manually assign them in the admin and these will be shown instead of the automatic generated product;
  • Supports multi-store and multi-language;
  • Works with any template;
  • Easy installation via the Extension Installer;
  • Module to Emable/disable and set product limit.

New Installation - Opencart 3.x

  1. Go to Extensions -> Installer
  2. Upload the auto_related_products.xxx.ocmod.zip
  3. Go to Admin -> Extensions -> Extensions.
  4. Select Modules.
  5. Install the Auto Related Products module.
  6. Edit module and set product limit and set to enabled.


New Installation - Opencart 2.x

  1. Go to Extensions -> Installer
  2. Upload the auto_related_products.xxx.ocmod.zip
  3. Go to Admin -> Extensions -> modifications
  4. Refresh the Modification Cache
  5. Go to Extensions > Modules.
  6. Install the Auto Related Products module.
  7. Edit module and set product limit and set to enabled.


Using the Extension:

There is nothing more to so, this is a set and forget extension and the related products will now automatically show on the product page.

However, if you have some products that need a specific set of related products, the you can manually assign the products that you require in the Product Edit and then these will show on the product page instead of the automatically selected product.

There is no upgrade at this time.
